DIY Curriculum Options

Requests for DIY curriculum options are made as a Material in Procurify. HSTs will work with the Learning Coach to set a custom learning plan that involves a review of student progress/body of work in alignment with state standards.

  • All HS Core courses need to be taken as Teacher-Led to count as A-G.
  • Offers classes for grades 7-12.
  • Offers courses in all core content areas, LOTE, and a LARGE number of electives.
  • Offers a wide range of languages with an instructor that includes a variety of speaking and listening with a teacher.
  • Proctors are required for all final assessments.
  • All content delivered in the same format form course to course allowing for stability in learning.
  • Most content learned through digital reading.
  • Offers tutoring that can be purchased using planning amounts.

  • Offers real time class meetings that are not required but very helpful.
  • Homeschool-friendly curriculum written by fellow homeschoolers, yet aligned to standards.

  • A-G (Live and self-paced options), NCAA certified (Live classes only).
  • Grades 6-12.
  • Offers all core subjects and some electives.
  • Highly interactive, live online classes with all materials embedded.
  • Live classes meet once per week and live tutoring is offered on a separate day weekly.
  • Mr. D Math provides a lot of support and wants students to be successful.
  • Live help is available three times a week.

NetTutor (TK - 12)

  • Sessions include: Live paper review, marked up with feedback and edits, checked for spelling.
  • Paper drop-off (average submittal of 500 words/paper will be returned to the student’s locker within 48 hours.)

Silicon Valley High School (9 - 12)

  • Offers A-G and NCAA courses in the 4 core content areas as well as a few electives in art and Spanish.
  • Self-paced, video driven courses that also provide reading materials and quizzes to ensure learning.
  • Quizzes may be taken as many times as needed, and instructors are just an email away.
  • Unit tests may only be taken once and each unit also has a teacher-graded assignment to be completed.
  • All units must be completed before taking the final.

UC Scout (9 - 12)

  • A-G, AP.
  • All On Demand courses are NCAA approved.
  • Note: AP courses and courses taken for NCAA credit require the student to attend live online sessions (office hours) throughout the time the student is enrolled in the course.
  • Offers a large number of AP courses, including AP Music Theory, AP Art History and (4) levels plus AP German, French, and Spanish.
  • On Demand: The UC Scout instructor will handle the content and instruction and correct assignments not auto-graded.
  • Plus Plan: The Canvas program is mostly auto-graded, but within every unit students are required to type their responses to embedded assignments. The instructor given access to the Plus account is responsible for handling the full LMS (loading course content, assigning work, reviewing, and grading typed responses and assignments).
