Virtual Learning (Plugged In!) K-12

Plugged In! Virtual classes (TK-8) only:

  • The whole program includes monthly thematic boxes and curriculum and instruction for all four core subjects. The comprehensive full curriculum package includes live Virtual Plugged In! classes, teacher-led instruction (synchronous instruction), weekly lesson plans (asynchronous instruction), monthly thematic workshops, and monthly thematic boxes.
  • The curriculum covers the 4 core subjects: math, ELA, science, and social studies. This is a wonderful well rounded program that is completely run by Granite Mountain Charter School staff.
  • The Single Subject Option (Does not include monthly thematic boxes) includes live Virtual Plugged In! classes, teacher-led instruction (synchronous instruction) and weekly lesson plans (asynchronous instruction), and monthly thematic workshops.

Plugged In! Virtual classes (High School) only:

  • No bundle option.
  • Single Subject Option includes live Virtual Plugged In! The core subject and foreign language classes are aligned with our A-G high school course guides, teacher-led instruction (synchronous instruction) and weekly lesson plans (asynchronous instruction), and monthly thematic workshops.
ExL Focus Days and Events only:
  • Includes field trip participation, field trips are a separate planning amount, no thematic boxes.
  • ExL Focus days and events tied to the monthly Plugged In! theme and weekly lessons. Additional thematic field trip opportunities will be available.

  • McGraw Hill is good for students who thrive with a traditional textbook format similar to the curriculum used in a brick and mortar setting. Flexible curriculum options allow you to personalize instruction based on your child’s learning preferences.
  • K-5 4 Core Subject Bundle:
    • Included in the bundle: physical copies of student workbooks, and textbooks for all available core subjects.
    • Teacher’s Editions are available via print or digital.
  • 6- 8 Core Subject Bundle:
    • Included in the bundle: physical copies of student workbooks, and textbooks for all available core subjects.

Edgenuity (K-5 with Edgenuity Instructor):

  • 4 core courses (18 week) with Edgenuity Instructor.
  • Video-based instruction accompanied with a workbook for each course.
  • All instruction embedded within the platform.
  • Edgenuity instructor participates in the evaluation of the course work.
  • HST monitors progress.
  • Student has access to Edgenuity teacher for content based questions and extra help if needed.
  • Standards aligned.

Edgenuity Direct (6-8):

  • 18 weeks course with Edgenuity Instructor.
  • Web-based interactive curriculum.
  • Direct-instruction videos from expert teachers with multimedia & interactive learning tools.
  • Most units require the student submit typed responses to specific assignments.
  • Rigorous and engaging curriculum aligned with Common Core and California State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards.

Edgenuity with Granite Mountain Content Specialist(9-12):

  • Content Specialists included for English, history, life science, math, Spanish, art (AP not available with this option) HQTs are NOT included for electives outside of Spanish.

Honor Courses:

  • English: 9,10,11, and 12.
  • Science: Biology, Chemistry, Chemistry in the Earth System, The Living Earth.
  • Math: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Mathematics I, Mathematics II, Mathematics III, Mathematics Analysis.
  • History: Principles of American Democracy, History and Geography, World History( Culture, and Geography).
